F*x would have left the field because Jeter, Ortiz, and Rodriguez were waiting and ESPN would have gone to SportsCenter but Apple+ has nowhere else to go so they stayed on the field and it was wonderful.

When David Stearns met with media yesterday there was a long drawn out question about the organization plan to add salary to obtain a player at the trade deadline Stearns leaned forward and said YES that’s it just YES David Stearns is a Gangster
This is exciting and fun but does anyone believe this is a championship team? The streaky hitters are hitting right now and will no doubt stop hitting when it’s really needed. It’s fun right now and I’m sure this team will do just enough to let us down again. Alvarez is the piece they need to build around. That Soto check keeps getting bigger by the week too. I’ve seen this too many times and until they win when they need to I’m not letting myself get sucked in again.
No, but the circumstances surrounding the team are more favorable and fun. Remember just over a month ago when a starter would give up four runs in the first inning and we all agreed the game was over? They are playing much better, having fun and making fans happy. I thought it was all over but the crying after Lopez game. Glad we have some life in us yet.
Disagree. Alonso and Lindor are streaky. But Nimmo isn’t. He was in an unfathomable slump. And JDM isn’t streaky. He’s just good. And Vientos and Alvarez. Young guys getting better and better. Who knows if they are streaky?
I would love sustained excellence but I do like this part of being a Mets fan. The random out of nowhere fun is definitely a good high. Great job putting that into words, JB. Hoping this ride runs a long time…
