Well done gentlemen. The one reliever you didn’t mention was Kranek. I’d say he’s been great too. Giving multiple innings and limiting damage. Agree wholeheartedly on Butto. He scare the hell outta me when that door opens and he walks through. Baty has been one of the best third basemen in the league if you look at outs above average. He has for sure made plays over there that we all know Vientos would never of made especially the barehanded stuff. Vientos cannot field without his glove and he double clutches before he throws. His arm might be better than Baty’s but Baty closes on balls that Vientos let’s come to him. If Baty keeps hitting there’s no way you take that glove off the field. Not for a team that lives on fielding. You can’t do it. I’ll. be happy when Siri comes back so we can end the McNeil in center experiment. He doesn’t have the range or arm to play center field. Question though. When is Senga going to adjust to the American game and take the ball every 5 days? Or was this always the plan when we signed him? Because if it was always the plan then might as well go to a 6 man rotation and have everyone get used to the extra day. It’ll probably be better for all pitchers. The game is changing as we all know and it’s supposedly geared towards health. Does Japan have the same arm issues as the US? I’d be interested in that answer. I hope you’re right about the weather and Soto. We are a 1/3 of the way in and this is what we’ve got in returns so far. Not great. One last thought. When is someone going to throw the bat down and charge the mound after being hit by a pitch? The Mets have led the league for the past 3/4 years in hit by pitches. Strikes me as funny that we do one (I heard Ronnie catching it and correcting himself while talking about Butto during Jose’s last appearance.), but not the other.
