Guys - I appreciate the podcast but I don't have a half hour to listen - I really want to see the daily newsletter in writing for my review with my morning cup of coffee.
Hey Don, don’t worry, we won’t be replacing the Friday newsletter with the podcast on a regular basis. This is really just for a few weeks during spring training, but we will have the normal Friday newsletters throughout the season.
Great episode boys. Commenting on something JB said about the pitching staff and that’s the “get by” mentality that Stearns seems to have. Is this how he builds teams each year? This sure looks almost like the Brewers as they signed Yelich as their big star to carry them like we have in Soto. Yes, I’m aware we have much more star power than the Brewers but I can’t figure out why we are “getting by” with this pitching staff. If it somehow works out and he hits on every move he makes it’ll make my concerns moot and I hope that’s the case but man I can’t help feeling concern over this line up especially knowing what Q gave us last year and his career numbers say he will be pretty much the same again this year. I surely don’t want to see him in the post season with the Brewers knowing he knows our hitters and how he could easily navigate 5 innings giving up only a run or two. Hey, that’s just me I guess. On the OMG front. I will miss him and even if he regressed from the .337 he hit last year a solid .280 from the bench is real valuable. I’d Acuna gonna do that? Baty? I guess we are going to find out. I do expect Acuna to be our second baseman though as I see McNeil in left and Nimmo needing either an IR or a slower roll into the season with his now knee issues. I don’t have a good feeling with him this year at least early on and let’s face it how many players go into a season injured and get better as the season goes on? Not many. I also took advantage of the 2 for $22 deal. I got seats in Sec. 137 row 10 for a Wednesday night game against the Pirates. Hoping to catch Skenes of course but they are a team that could surprise this year so it’s why I picked it. The wife and her company own season tickets for the Mets and we are on that list too. Those tickets are awesome though and well out of what we would spend on a baseball game. Very posh accommodations with the clubs you can get into and great seats too. Right behind the catcher. Still looking at more games and it depends on how the season shakes out too but I’d expect at least 4 or 5 more and will be looking to save a buck when we can. No reason not to. Right? Can’t wait for real games! Getting impatient.
Thanks for the always excellent podcast. I love it and it's a perfect complement to the daily newsletter. I never thought the podcast was in place of the newsletter though I can see this being the case in the offseason and especially in spring. Maybe you can tape it for release on weekends for those who need time to listen -- no one does anything on weekends, right? lol.
Are you planning on continuing to replace one of the weekly newsletters with a podcast?
I have to tell you, respectfully, I have zero interest in the podcast and it's all soooooo slow. Don't have that kind of time. And the last thing I need today is to listen to yet another discussion about OMG.
I can understand why it's a business model you are pursuing. But it's not for me and it now makes for three straight days without Mets Fix content.

Thanks. Obviously you are free to take Mets Fix wherever you see fit. And it's worth exploring all your options. As a faithful reader, I thought I'd throw in my two cents.
WOW Jimmy us old timers cant listen to Podcast LOL ? They are great and frankly i prefer them to reading the newsleter where my eyeballs turn in my head sometimes on the stats.
I for one love the Poscasts please do not get rid of them. Based on the comments poeple seem not to like them - Saves me a ton of time in reading. - My two cents.
GREAT PODCAST as always. A Suggestion I've had for years is this: "4 Pack game packs" (The Red Sox do this). They could be Mon thru Thursday only and at regular prices. Any seat level. This would help those os driving 100 miles or so. I have asked repeatdely to the Mets tcket office (Even 10 game packs) and nothing. Finaly the day there are parking garages at Citi is the day i will never go to another Mets game.
