So the decision is a backup to the backup Utility guy who can't hit or a backup to the backup OF who can also be the backup DH and will be the first left handed bat off the bench in a lineup that has one obvious PH opportunity most nights (catcher) and another against righties (CF)? I understand options and such, but this does not seem to have a very difficult decision. You keep Stewart around and you let Short go.

I came of Mets age in mid-80’s and passionately hate the Cardinals. That 3 game series in 85 broke my nine-year old heart and I haven’t forgotten. I’m going tonight. Excited to watch Butto.

Beautiful night to see a game. Have fun. (I hate the Cardinals, too - they're the Yankees of the NL).

Considering I'm blind and listen to the radio broadcast 100% of the time, lets put it this way I greatly miss Howie's presence when he is not in the booth.

That was right move. Next move might be Vientos as mentioned in Mets fix podcast Baty ops is in the .600 and he is hitting balls ground again. By Memorial Day they might need to do something

They need to work on the play by play a little. Takes too long to describe if the ball in the air is well hit or an easy out.

Depends what you think of the non-Howie radio team, I guess. They’re still better than Apple’s!

I think Keith and Pat do a nice job and have good chemistry together. I listened to the last 4 innings the other day and enjoyed it.

Three game set with the Cardinals. I love seeing Ollie Marmol unhappy - LFGM! Going to the game tomorrow against my will but will receive a Hogwarts scarf.

Also, getting to know a little bit about Starling Marte:
