When did it become "fasionable" for players of all sports to call out the oppsing team's Managers and Head Coaches ? Its disrespectful, sets bad examples, and downright disgusting. In this case (Muncy who i never have heard of before) hit a HR - isnt that enough - have some class please !

Agreed. Thinking very similarly as I watched that. Unnecessary, rude, self absorbed. Another reason to dislike the Dodgers.

Sorry last night provided no solace to a tough few days of fandom, Steve. Maybe the Blue shirts have em right where they want em, down 3 games to 2.

He was more talking to his teammates than directly at La Russa. And I guess I like anything that makes La Russa look silly, but I get the point.

Here’s hoping Tylor Megill is back to early season form. We could really use a good Start. And could the Braves and Phillies maybe lose once in a while?

The best way to look at it is the Mets are battling through their toughest stretch while those two teams are as hot as ever, and yet the lead is still 6.5/9. But yeah, you knew it wasn’t going to be easy.

Bottom line is the Starting pitching has to step up and return to early season form. They’ve all worse since Scherzer and to a lesser extent Megill went down. The bats have compensated. But bats are by nature inconsistent. And our best hitter has been off the field two days in a row, our second and third best (McNeil and Lindor) are cooling a bit, our 4th best (Nimmo) is ice cold probably cause he sucks at playing hurt, and our 5th best hitter (Marte) was injured in the middle of his hot streak.

Jimmy, not a criticism of Nimmo. Just an observation. He is injury prone to be sure. This has happened year after year with him and it should be acknowledged realistically when assembling a team. You need to be ready to play without him for significant time. As they brought in two other starting outfielders capable of playing Center they did a good job hedging they bet during the last off season. Unfortunately, Marte’s injury is coinciding with Nimmo’s, and Neither Cano nor Dom played well enough to even be on the team let alone be starter quality bats, so we are currently short handed. The emergence of Guillorme and reemergence of McNeil have helped mitigate the outfield injuries significantly, but right now the roster is stretched to its limits.

As to being grateful to root for the best pitcher on the planet. That’s a bit much. I’ll root for him when he returns to action. It’s been almost a year now.

"Sucks at playing hurt" -- oh, no, not this -- you are already down on deGrom for being hurt -- complaining when you should be grateful to root for the best pitcher on the planet -- and it's not at all easy to hit ML pitching with an injured wrist.
