After Italy’s 9–1 victory over Mexico, USA advances to the Quarterfinals to play Canada on Friday.
“You're welcome, USA,” Vinnie Pasquantino told Fox Sports after hitting three home runs to secure the victory. “We were thinking of you guys, over at your hotel. We were thinking of you guys, so I’m glad you guys could join us in the party.”
🇩🇴 USA wasn’t the only team celebrating on Wednesday. Juan Soto sparked a home-run barrage in the Dominican’s 7–5 over Venezuela to claim the top spot in Pool D.

🍎 It was a slow day in Mets Land, so I used the extra time to vibe code a Mets Fix Streaming Guide (linked below).
The experience made me feel a little better about working with an AI tool like Claude for this type of purpose. While it definitely streamlined the coding process, it still took a decent amount of work to tailor it to my liking and many iterations to get the detailed information to display correctly, including some help from early testers in the chat (thank you!). The models are getting better, but you still can’t just prompt it with “build me a streaming guide” and get a finished product. There’s still hope for us content creators!
