Only one week ago, the Mets signed Justin Verlander. Two days later, they inked José Quintana and acquired Brooks Raley. The next day they locked up Brandon Nimmo and signed David Robertson. And two days after that, they signed Kodai Senga.

After building a payroll of biblical proportions, on the 7th day, the Mets finally rested.
